On the afternoon of March the 13th😤👷🏽‍♀️，2019, The Workshop on Further Cooperation of Legal Education of Intellectual Property and Judicial Practice of 2019 was successfully held at Tongji University. The following senior officials were invited to participate in the workshop. They are Justice Zhang Bin, Vice President of Shanghai High People’s Court, Justice Tang Zhen, Vice Director of IP Tribunal of Shanghai High People’s Court, Mr. Xia Yunfeng, Deputy Director of Cadre Training Center of Shanghai High People’s Court, and Prof. Lei Xinghui, Vice President of Tongji University, Prof. Dr. Shan Xiaoguang, Dean of SICIP, Mr. Li Jianchang, Chairman of College Council of SICIP, Associate Prof. Dr. Yu Xinmiao, Deputy Dean of SICIP, et al.

  The Workshop of Shanghai High People’s Court and Tongji University on the Further Cooperation of 2019

Justice Tang Zhen summarized the bilateral cooperation achievements of 2018 and introduced the further cooperation plan of 2019.

Prof. Dr. Shan Xiaoguang discussed about the topics related to internship of international students and constructing Shanghai as the Asia-Pacific Intellectual Property Center, etc.

Justice Zhang Bin stated that Shanghai High People’s Court and Tongji University had achieved remarkable cooperation in 2018, and both parties carried on exploring institutionalized, long-term, and effective cooperation mode. He looked forward to facilitating cooperation between both parties in 2019, constantly exploring new ways of cooperation, and effectively promoting Shanghai High People’s Court to become the “place of priority” for cases related to judicial protection of intellectual property and to play a leading role in the judicial protection of intellectual property; meanwhile, to present the narrative of Chinese judicial practice of intellectual property, and to establish a good image of Chinese judicial protection of intellectual property through the cooperation.

Prof. Lei Xinghui first thanked Shanghai High People’s Court for its support for years on behalf of Tongji University. He said that the cooperation between both parties in 2018 was fruitful and remarkable. Since the cooperation between both parties, SICIP had made great progress in personnel training, scientific research, international exchanges, etc. In this new year, it is anticipated that cooperation between both parties will pay more attention to improving efficiency, expanding cooperation areas, strengthening publicity efforts, and establishing the cooperation model between Shanghai High People’s Court and Tongji University as Court-University cooperation pioneer.
