On June 14th, 2019, a Mock Court was held in the 10th floor of the Zhonghe Building. Students of the 2018 WIPO MIP in Design and B&R MIP jointly attended the Moot Court. Associate professor Chen Deli and senior judges of Shanghai High People's Court, Wang Jing and Kong Liming, jointly presided the event.

The moot trial is an important part of the IPR Enforcement Practices course, aiming at providing students with a better understanding of China's IPR trial procedures and practice. The Court selected a case involving industrial design right. The infringement judgment and the damage compensation calculation were difficult, same as many technical questions involved.

Thanks to the Mock Court and the guidance of the judges, Chinese and foreign students will have a deeper understanding of China's intellectual property civil litigation.
